South Florida's saltwater environment is relentless. Tidal forces, storm surges, boat wakes, and soil erosion put constant pressure on every waterfront structure. A failing seawall doesn't just look bad — it puts your entire property at risk.

Contour Marine has been engineering and building seawalls across Broward and Miami-Dade since 2001. We work with concrete, vinyl sheet pile, and hybrid systems — always recommending what's right for your site, not what's easiest for us.

  • Residential & commercial seawall projects
  • Vinyl sheet pile — corrosion-proof, long-lasting
  • Reinforced concrete systems

Seawall Construction Process

Three stages. One finished waterfront.

Forming & Reinforcement

Formwork is set along the waterline to define the seawall's shape and alignment. Steel rebar cages are then assembled inside the forms, creating a reinforced skeleton that gives the seawall its long-term structural strength. Every cage is tied and spaced to engineered specifications before a single pour of concrete begins.

  • Precision formwork placement
  • Steel rebar cage assembly
  • Engineered spacing & alignment
  • Pre-pour inspection & sign-off

Concrete Placement

With the forms set and reinforcement in place, marine-grade concrete is pumped and placed with precision. Our crews work efficiently to ensure a continuous, void-free pour — eliminating weak points that could compromise the structure. The concrete is vibrated and finished to achieve a uniform density throughout the seawall cap.

  • Marine-grade concrete mix
  • Continuous pour — no cold joints
  • Internal vibration for density
  • Surface finishing & curing

Finished Seawall

Once cured, the forms are stripped to reveal the finished seawall cap. Final inspections confirm structural integrity and alignment. The result is a clean, durable seawall built to withstand decades of tidal action, boat wakes, and South Florida's storm season — protecting your property and waterfront for the long term.

“I have been in Florida for over 40+ years. Our condo building at Envoy North Hallandale contracted Contour Marine for our sea wall — in over 40+ years I have never witnessed a company so complete, diligent, hard working and professional. The workers are the hardest and most polite workers I have met in over 40+ years. I highly recommend Contour Marine for any Docks or seawall restoration.”

“Contour Marine is the best company out there for seawalls. I’m the property manager in a condominium in Hallandale on Three Island and he just finished doing our seawall. Not only does it look amazing but working with Tom the President of the company has been a pleasure. Very professional, excellent work — he answered your text immediately and any issue or concerns are addressed immediately. Recommend him 100%.”
